Save Florida Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19 Today!
Friday, April 24, 2020
We are writing on behalf of the state's local independent small businesses, who contributed to nearly 44 percent of the state GDP's in 2019.
Florida is home to 2.3 million small businesses, which employ 3.1 million or 43.2 percent of the state's private-sector workforce. Florida's small businesses create three out of every four jobs and have been a major contributor to the 1.2 million private sector jobs created since December 2010.
Today, small businesses need your help. Small businesses are seeing a 70 percent drop in sales nationwide due to coronavirus. Relief programs for both our small businesses and employees have been incredibly delayed. Even when we seek updates from Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program and resources like it at the federal level we are asked to wait, and are given no assurances that support is coming quickly
