As a community, it is our job to come together and support one another. Below you will find a list of black-owned businesses in the Sunshine City, and the city of Tampa, as well as a selection of nonprofits. Show them love. Show them support.
I Love the Burg affirms that Black Lives Matter, and remain fully supportive of the peaceable protests and demonstrations in our city. Silence is not an option right now. Our goal has always been to showcase all things good, but now is a moment to do good.
Nicole Slaughter-Graham, interim editor of The Temper and St. Pete resident, has created a comprehensive Antiracist Resource Guide for all those who wish to educate themselves and their loved ones.
I also encourage you to follow the work of The Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg. The organization continues to provide pivotal services, and educational opportunities for those most in need.
