The City of St. Petersburg Announces New St. Pete Pier Grand Opening Date

Residents and visitors are invited to explore all 26 acres of St. Pete’s newest waterfront attraction beginning Monday, July 6.
St. Petersburg, FL (June 19, 2020) -- The new Pier District and St. Pete Pier, previously scheduled to open on May 30, will now open on Monday, July 6 at 5:00 P.M.
Said Mayor Rick Kriseman: “It’s been a long and winding road, but we’ve arrived at our destination: A dynamic, 26-acre waterfront playground that will serve residents and visitors for generations to come. It’s time for everyone to experience all the Pier District and St. Pete Pier has to offer.”
The new St. Pete Pier District will be the ultimate place to stroll, bike, dine, drink, shop, swim, take in a concert and more. It’s more than just a pier, it’s an exPIERience. Additional information related to the pier’s amenities can be found at www.StPetePier.org.
Due to COVID-19, no organized mass gathering will coincide with the pier’s opening. To provide for the health and safety of the pier’s visitors, additional details related to a safe opening of the St. Pete Pier will be shared soon.
