Local Nonprofits Offer Free Construction Skills Course For Women

More construction jobs are becoming available in the Tampa market and women can be a part of this growth by learning the fundamentals of construction. The program funded by Hillsborough County Community Development is designed to help women in Tampa Bay* explore higher paying career options in the dynamic construction field.
Women Building Futures is a 15-week curriculum based program to include classes in carpentry, drywall, painting, block masonry/finishing, flooring and construction administration. Graduates will earn certification from The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and OSHA 10 certification.
