Candace Owens, a conservative personality who claims to be a reformed liberal and the voice behind the Red Pill Black website, had sharp words for GQ’s decision to call Colin Kaepernick the “Citizen of the Year.” “The last time I mistook skin complexion for progress, I called him Barack Obama,” Owens said in the video published on Monday.
Owens blasted Kaepernick, saying that “the definition of bravery has really shifted over the last few decades” if his decision to kneel during the national anthem was considered “brave.”
And just like Tomi Lahren recently did when she posted on Twitter with an image of Kaepernick kneeling during the D-Day invasion, Owens heralded the Allied forces for bravery, celebrating the troops over Kaepernick as if anyone before her and Lahren had been trying to compare the two.
